LA CITÉ RADIEUSE
In 2001, Katia Imbernon and Jean-Lucien Bonillo establish the Editions Imbernon publishing house with the intention of tracing the history of 20th- and 21st-century architecture, from art to urbanism. That same year, she chooses to open their bookshop at Le Corbusier’s La Cité Radieuse on the 3rd “street” of the Unité d’Habitation.
Twenty years later, “Rupture”, an international network of cultural spaces founded by Alexandre Sap, purchases the bookshop and partners with architect and designer Pierre Gonalons to beautify the space, creating a dialogue between concrete, glass and ceramic and Métaphores textiles. The bookshop takes on an entirely new light thanks to the Lounge, Frivole and Fever fabrics used for the seats, curtains and wall hangings.
Come discover this singular space marrying modernist architecture and the celebratory fabrics from the Moonlight collection by Métaphores.
