Métaphores at the opening of InterContinental Lyon

On the 29th of May, the French press and local elected representatives of the city were invited to celebrate the opening of InterContinental Lyon-Hôtel-Dieu. Métaphores was there.

The opening of InterContinental Lyon today comes after an extensive four-year restoration of one of the city’s most iconic buildings, the former hospital ‘Hôtel Dieu’. The largest private transformation of a historic monument carried out in France. The project was led by the interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel who focused on maintaining the original beauty and architecture of the building whilst offering a contemporary design.

A few days before its opening to the public, the French press and local elected representatives of the city, including Gerard Collomb, were invited to see the building. Laurent Belot and Dominique Bourguignon, Métaphores’ ambassadors, took part of the site visit to introduce the fabrics.

“I am both proud and honored to have been part of this unique project and for the choice of our lampas, damas and silk taffeta fabrics by the interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel. It was a great opportunity to introduce Métaphores to the press.” Dominique Bourguignon, Sales Manager

"The journalists showed great interest in Métaphores’ know-how and in the history of every fabric used in this project." Laurent Belot, Sales Manager
