Métaphores Saint-Germain velvet is celebrating its 10th anniversary! The house has joined forces for the occasion with Galerie Philia - an international modern art and contemporary design gallery - to present an immersive and fun setting in its showroom during Paris Design Week in September.

Inspired by their shared love of pure and graphic lines, they have created a staging concept based around minimalist pieces by Pietro Franceschini, an Italian designer and architect, covered in Saint-Germain velvet with its exceptionally sensual touch.

This unique cotton velvet is without a doubt a Métaphores icon. Characterised by its 100% cotton pile of a remarkable height and density, its softness is matched only by its comfort. The iridescent highlights give its texture a voluptuous look with a perfect finish… a finish whose sensations are enhanced by the blissful sensuality of Pietro Franceschini’s sculptural seating, loaned by the Galerie Philia.
